📦 Information We Collect

• Account information — Name and email address (via Google Sign-In or email registration)
• Receipt images — Photos of fuel receipts you submit to earn rewards
• Transaction data — Gallons purchased, rewards earned, and redemption history
• Device information — Device type and OS version for push notifications and app functionality
• Usage data — Crash reports and app performance data (via Firebase Analytics) to improve the app

🎯 How We Use Your Information

• Process fuel receipt photos and calculate your reward balance
• Generate and validate QR codes for in-store redemption
• Send push notifications about reward approvals and promotions
• Detect and prevent duplicate or fraudulent receipt submissions
• Improve app performance and fix bugs

🔒 Camera & Photo Access

The app requests camera and photo library access solely to let you photograph fuel receipts. Images are uploaded to secure Firebase Cloud Storage, processed by Google Cloud Vision API to extract purchase data, and retained for 90 days for verification purposes.

We never use your camera for any other purpose.

🔐 Biometric Data

If you enable Face ID or Touch ID login, all biometric processing happens entirely on your device through iOS's secure enclave. We never access, store, or transmit your biometric data.

🌐 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers (Google Cloud Platform) with restricted access controls and industry-standard encryption. Receipt images are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage with private access — only your account and authorized admins can access your files.

🤝 Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with advertisers or third parties. We share data only with:

• Google Firebase — Cloud database, authentication, storage, and analytics provider
• Google Cloud Vision API — Processes receipt images to extract text (gallons, total)
• As required by law — If legally compelled by a valid court order or government request

⏱ Data Retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active
• Receipt images are retained for 90 days for fraud verification
• Transaction history is retained for 2 years for audit purposes
• You may request complete account deletion at any time

👤 Your Rights

• Access — Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction — Request corrections to inaccurate data
• Deletion — Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data
• Opt out — Disable push notifications at any time in your device Settings

👶 Children's Privacy

Rapid FuelRewards is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
